Gratitude, if it is honest, must never silence conscience. I wrote Saturday’s newsletter article and my book not only in celebration of America but in loving concern for the nation that welcomed me and gave me opportunities I could scarcely have imagined.

America faces enemies today that the Founders could not have foreseen in their modern form, but would have recognized in their nature: forces that divide people, erode national identity, and replace timeless truths with ideologies hostile to faith, family, freedom, and human dignity.

Some of these threats come from within. We are told America's founding was a fraud, that her greatness was an illusion, and that her principles must be dismantled. These are not reforms. They are replacements.

As an immigrant, I must also say this plainly: not everyone who comes to America comes to belong. True immigrants come with gratitude, eager to contribute, build, and embrace the principles that make this nation worth coming to.

A country that cannot distinguish between those who strengthen it and those who exploit it risks losing the very blessings that attracted millions to its shores.

Foreign enemies also understand that America remains the greatest obstacle to tyranny. They seek to weaken her from without while encouraging division from within.

Yet the answer is not despair. It is courage. Courage to defend truth. Courage to teach the next generation to cherish, not despise, the inheritance they have received.

And above all, we must pray. America's greatest battles have never been won by strength alone but by people who humbled themselves before God. If we hope to see renewal, we must seek Him first, asking Him to heal our land, restore our hearts, and give us the wisdom and courage to stand for what is right.

This is no time for complacency. It is time for Americans, native-born and naturalized alike, to stand, speak, pray, and do everything within our power to ensure this republic is not lost on our watch. The generations who come behind us deserve nothing less.

…if my people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
